We are offering a unique opportunity for photographers to share our indoor and outdoor spaces, without the long-term commitment and expense of a private studio.
Spaces
Our property features a newly renovated 800 square foot conditioned indoor space with ample natural lighting, a 105-year-old barn with original floors, beams and charming Edison lighting, and a 400 square foot second story deck off of the barn. Not only can our spaces be used for shoots but can also serve quiet and creative place for editing.
Acreage
Our five acres of outdoor space include one acre of prairie grasses, canopied pathways, mature manicured landscapes, stone wall hardscapes, and several other smaller outbuildings and silos that make for a wide variety of backdrops.
Amenities
Other amenities include onsite public restrooms (non-winter months) and a sizeable parking lot. Booking your photo sessions at the Mapleton Barn will provide you with a stress-free experience that isn’t hindered by weather, with access to outdoor, indoor open-air, and indoor conditioned spaces. Hourly and monthly rental options are available.

What happens if there’s inclement weather?
One of the perks of shooting here is that our property has both indoor and outdoor spaces. Timeslots can be rescheduled with 72 hours notice with no penalty. Rescheduling anything less will reduce your original timeslot by 50%.
What other amenities are available?
Indoor restrooms during non-winter months
ADA accessible and almost all of our spaces are easy to access in the event your client might have limited mobility
We have an onsite changing area with large mirror that is separate from the restrooms
Multiple vanities for hair and make-up

Can I see the space?
Just send me an email with your availability for a tour. They usually last about 20 minutes and I’m available most days/times with the exception of Thursdays.
How do I book?
Email your requested time, which should include any set-up and take-down and I will typically respond with-in 12 hours of receiving request. An initial signed contract will be required with payment to secure days/times.
